Stephen is a Solicitor in our Rural and Commercial teams. After studying at Glasgow University, Stephen completed his training in Inverness, before moving to a firm dealing routinely with complex land matters. He joined McCash & Hunter in 2014.
Stephen has particular interest in agricultural matters and advises landlords, tenants and owner occupiers on many aspects of their businesses. He regularly provides advice on renewable projects, telecoms masts and other ways farmers and estate owners look to diversify their business.
Building on experience gained in his years in the Highlands, Stephen also deals with crofting matters, making McCash & Hunter one of the few high street firms outside of the Highlands that can advise on such matters.
Stephen is a member of the Law Society of Scotland’s Rural Affairs Committee and also represents the firm with the Crofting Law Group, Scottish Tenant Farmers Association and Scottish Land and Estates.
Outside the office Stephen is a member of Central Baptist Church in Dundee, a keen supporter of Scripture Union Scotland and a member of the Lawyers Christian Fellowship. He also plays cricket (when the Scottish weather permits), representing Perth Doo’cot.Go Back
